The first session of the day introduced the My Home initiative www.myhomeindonesia.org which encourages people to adopt there street, there school, there office and commit to pray for them to see change.

We were told that even the secular media have given the world prayer assembly a positive coverage.  They ask what is the result of WPA?  That prayer will move out into the marketplace and for prayer towers to be erected across Indonesia.  That people will adopt their street, school or office.  That prayer revival will be ignited around the world.

We then had a time of prayer for Indonesia.  Prayer points:

* Clean and just corruption-free government
* Pray for remote parts that need special attention so that justice and propserity enjoyed by every indonesian
* Open doors for religious freedom over Indonesia

Next, Bill Wilson from the International Centre for Spiritual Renewal spoke about the Empowered 21 Asia initiative.  www.empowered21asia.com. There was also a call for all pastors to reclaim Pentecost Sunday for the Holy Spirit by committing to teach about the Holy Spirit on that day.

There will be a Global Congress in Jerusalem on 17-22 May 2015.

The vision is that every person will have wn encounter with Jesus by 2033 which will be the 2000th anniversary of the out pouring of the Holy Spirit and we will pray that it will happen again around the world.

Pastor Niko Njotorahardjo who heads the Healing Movement ministry and is the pastor at the world prayer centre where the WPA has been held, then spoke about prayer and revival and how the ‘new wave is coming a d that it would start here at the WPA in Jakarta.

He was then followed by S.Korean pastor Lee Younghoon speaking about prayer and revival in the church.

Finally we heard from Enoch Adeboye who is the Overseer of the Redeemed church of God. He was such an excellent speaker and so knowledgeable about the word. He spoke on ‘Does God answer prayer?”

After this session finished we then made our way to the Gelora Bung Karno stadium for a massive event. We arrived around 3.30-4pm and the event started around 6pm with worship. It was so hot and humid but it was amazing to see 80,000 people fill the stadium, 20,000 of which were children. It was an amazing spectacular event with worship, speakers and prayer. The performance could only be likened to the opening ceremony of the Olympic games which must have been performed by approximately 2,000 young people. It was an amazing event, even though we were hot, tired and flagging by 9pm. We then left to return back to our hotels where I had the best ever cold shower after a long, hot day! But I got through it and I have to thank those that rayed for me because I know that it could only be God that got me through it on 3 and a half hours sleep!

What an awesome day!

His morning kicked off with Ed Silvoso talked about transforming the marketplace through prayer and action.  It was a very inspiring session with video of how God is transforming locations around the world including Paranaque – Philippines, Phuket and Sentul City – Jakarta.  More details from www.transformourworld.com.  He spoke about 5 pivotal paradigm shifts that are required for nation transformation.  He was then followed by Dick Eastman who spoke about prayer and world evangelism and the convergence of the 2 streams and would happen if pray and missions unite.  He then talked about his ministry Every Home for Christ and the amount of people that are coming to Christ.

The next session was about the world economic situation. This session had a number of speakers who spoke about the the subject and how the world is still governed by Mamon and a desire for money.  Jerry Tuma then spoke in some detail showing the demographics and how the situation in Europe is going to get worse over the next 20-30 years due to a dwindling younger generation who will need to support a growing older population.  It was fascinating to see how the structure of our society has changed so drastically in the past 50 years and how we will unable to sustain our economy with the population growing older and reduced birth rates.  Unfortunately, the jetlag began to creep in at the end of he session and I had to go and get a drink and sugar fix to keep me going.

It was ‘lunch in a box’ time too give some much needed energy and then I decided to investigate the Prayer Tower.  This is a 12 story tower at the side of the conference centre which has a house of prayer on the top floor overlooking the Sentul city and surrounding areas.  Continuous prayer has been going on here for the past 3 years so I was told.  It was a unique experience! Coming from a Pentecostal background I thought I had seen it all… but the Chinese, koreans, Indonesians etc are on another level!  They were really going for it in prayer and worship room so I moved onto the more relaxed prayer room.  I sat and prayed the peace of Lord was just so in that place.  I felt I could have stayed there all day but thought I should move onto the next session eventually.

The next sessions, I wasn’t quite sure which one to go to so I dipped into a f sessions and ended up in the prayer and prophecy session run by Cindy Jacobs.  It was awesome and God was moving particular in prayer for young people and the orphan spirit which has come up many times today in different sessions.  It was a very powerful time and I wept on behalf the orphans in our nation.

The evening session started with a video and prayer for North Korea.  All the delegates from S.Korea were asked to pray for te North which was very touching to see their passion.  Then, we were asked to pray for the young generation and a spirit of isolation that Satan is using to isolate the generation and prevent them from doing what God has called them to do.  God is going to use the young people to bring the revival that we have been praying for.  There was an amazing time of prayer and repentance as all the young people unde the age of 35 were called to the front.  More than half the conference centre made their way forward.  There was a time of prayer and repentence on behalf of the young adn older generations which ws very powerful.  This ended with the older generation symbolically washing the feet of some young people a prayer against the orphan spirit and for the release of young people to Gods calling.

What an awesome day even if it was tiring!  I’m writing this with my eyes closing so think it’s time to sleep.  Tomorrow is the big stadium event in Jakarta which I sense will be like nothing I’ve experienced before!  Check back tomorrow to find out more.

We then had lunch and I must say it is well organized.  We are supplied with ‘lunch in a box’ where thousands are bought in every day.  They have been nice but I have missed a hot meal as not really had one since Sunday as we also had ‘dinner in a box’ tonight.

After lunch we then had a choice of track sessions we could go to.  I choice to go to the track run by George Otis Jr on ‘Lessons and principles of social transformation.  What an encouraging talk! He shared about his 15 year study on transformation.  He shared about Joseph Kony the leader of the LRA cukt in Uganda  who kidnapped and slaughtered many thousands of children since 2005.  The government had no way of catching him.  He goes on to say what has happened recently in the fight to stop Kony.  As the intercessor prayed, God told them the battle would not be won by bullets as it was a spiritual battle.  Needless to say God moved in an awesome way and brought transformation.  For me details on teh amazing story go and watch the video on anunconventioanlwar.com. 

The next track I went to was about praying for try media with speakers from the Indonesia Christian Broadcasting Network and Hollywood Prayer Network.  It was another excellent and informative session with many prayer points and a contact  from one of the speakers who is going to write an article for the future Prayer for Today issue.

The final session was called ‘Three generations together’ and was a song and dance spectacular with 500 children taking part and some adults.  It was so emotional to see children of all ages worshipping and dancing before the Lord.  God is so good!

We finally got out about 9.15pm and then the arduous task of getting everyone together and back to the bus.  We were all so shattered and we seemed to be missing some people and we had to wait till nearly 10pm.  We were not too happy when we found out they had gone back to the hotel earlier in the day! More grace Lord!

So, time to retire to bed as another early start in teh morning and we’ll see what tomorrow holds.

It was amazing to see so many people from so many different nations in one place.  There are 6,000 people registered wth more coming each day (2000 of which are international delegates).  They expect up to 9,000 people representing 63 nations of the world.  They went through a list of the nations and we had to all stand when our nations were called.  It was amazing to see especially when the biggest groups are from China and Korea!  We all stood together in unity and prayed to God holding hands.  It was emotional.  I really had a sense that God said, “this is what my Church is truly like”.

There were amazing singers and dance represented from all the churches in Jakarta, with the hosts giving us the vision and history of the World Prayer Assembly.  It was then topped off with an amazing Indonesian choir (must have been about 50 people) who were amazing!  Unfortunately I have still got jetlag and found it really hard to stay awake at one point. 

We got back to our hotel at 10.30pm and have to be up at 6am to start day 2.  Please pray for a good nights sleep and stamina to get through the schedule.

We landed in Dubai at 12.30am local time and I just wandered around Duty Free and sat in Starbucks (they really are getting like McDonalds)!  When I got off the plane I had prayed to meet someone I know at the airport and hey presto… I bumped into my old pastor from Birmingham Christian Centre on route to the World Prayer Assembly also. 

The flight from Dubai to Jakarta was ok but busy (no 3 seats to myself this time)!  I had a window seat and 2 Indonesia gentleman sat next to me.  Again I didn’t really sleep.  I’m such a light sleeper and doesn’t help being sat on the wing.  The 2 guys next to me however slept the WHOLE flight! They were out cold.  I couldn’t get out to stretch my legs or go to the toilet.  I had to wake them up in the end as I thought I was going to wet myself!

We arrived in Jakarta at 3.15pm local time and it is roasting! 33 degrees but there seems to be a constant haze rather than sunshine.  So much for getting a tan then!  So, we got to the baggage reclaim to get our bags. There were about 3 or 4 bags going around the carousel.  The same bags seemed to go around the carousel for about an hour! One of the guys from the Birmingham flight had his bag but me, Sheila and Lorrie from Birrmingham still had no bags.  Have you ever seen Christians pray so hard! The thought of having to spend the week in my jeans and shirt and trainers was too much to even think about.  The only good thing was that half the flight didn’t have their bags either!  So we waited for about 2 hours melting in the heat and then out came our 3 bags and then a sign saying ‘Last baggage’. You don’t say!  Mental note: do not check in to airport early as your bags will be the last off the plane!

We were then greeted by the WPA team as we came out of the airport which was well organized.  We then had to wait to be shown to the right coach etc and transported to our hotel.  This seemed to take FOREVER when you just want to shower and sleep.  Jakarta is sprawling (about 8.5 million inhabitants) and they all seem to be on the road at the same time! We finally got to our hotel at 7.15pm local time.  I was fit to drop.  I caught up with other people in the hotel from Birmingham and Sara from Tearfund.  Had dinner with Sara and this amazing lady from Australia (she is Singaporean originally) who told us her amazing testimony about being a Muslim and fi dung God! Wow!  At that’s before the conference has started.  I finally made my excuses in need of a shower and bed.

The conference starts at 5pm tomorrow evening.  So at least I can chill until then and try and sort out my sleeping.  The bad news is that we have to be up every morning after that at 5.30-6am in order to have breakfast and pray and get to the conference for 10am start!  So glad I am staying on for a weeks holiday after.  I will need it!

So I had a wandered around Duty Free, succumbing to purchasing some new perfume, grabbed a tea and made my way to the gate to chill.  And would you guess…I bumped into my old pastor from Birmingham Christian Centre and 2 other people from Brum travelling to the World Prayer Assembly.  God does answer prayer! Fancy seeing you here I exclaimed!

Feeling tired now as I have travelling for about 12 hours including waiting at airports.  Got about another 10 hours to go! Let’s hope I get some sleep on this flight otherwise I’m gonna look like the living dead when I get off! God give me grace.

The weekend was slightly dampened by the fact I’ve been ill this week. I’ve had the cold from hell and I am really run down. I’m praying for healing as I have to be well for Jakarta!

But I realised Friday night that I really missed Mr R. He’d not even been gone 12 hours! What am I gonna be like for the 2 weeks when I’m in Indonesia! It will be the longest time we’ve ever been apart since we got married. Even though we’ve only been married two and a half years, it’s amazing how we get used to just having someone there.

And although we may complain when they are there…there are many single men and women who are so desperate to just have someone there! We never truly know what we have until it’s gone. We take people and things for granted and do not appreciating the blessings that we really have.

So I appreciate my amazing husband for who is more today than yesterday and my only concern is what am I gonna be like after 2 weeks away! As they say “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Let’s hope Mr R feels the same way when he’s got to do his own washing, cooking and cleaning for 2 weeks!

We shall see!

It’s all getting a bit real now with having jabs and buying stuff to take to Jakarta. I am so expectant at what God is going to do. Open my eyes to real see Lord!

This week I have had the ‘Kiwi cold’ from hell. My Aunt and uncle brought it over for us on their recent visit from NZ. Cheers thanks! What didn’t help is that I had to have a typhoid injection on Monday as the cold was coming out and was told after the jab that I can’t take any paracetamol! What? So, I’ve had to soldier on. Felt so rough. Glad it was this week and not next week though! So please pray for complete healing in Jesus Name.
